Behind the name:

Well, am Die, and also known as Didier or Yann depending where I am and what I am doing. It is really confusing for me too, so if you don’t know how to call me, then simply call me Die as it is the name that suits me the most.

Die is not, as certain may guess, a name related to death, to morbid things, or even some name attributed to me for the love I have for metal music or whatever. It originated from the english pronounciation of “Didier” becoming “Die-Dyer”, made by my big brother Tof several years ago, in a time I myself don’t remember that well. In those days, I was really proud that someone who didn’t even know me gave me such a bizarre name, and has never stopped calling me as such. I just can’t recall a moment when Tof ever called me “Didier”…

I lost him during a certain period of my life, and meeting him again changed my life drastically, with the arrival of new people, new way of life, new ways of thinking and behaving. Those persons, who will neither be forgotten, changed “Die-Dyer” into either “Die” or “Dyer”… and now I guess only Tof calls me “Dyer”…
